The film "This is not just a game" derives inspiration from "Conway's Game of Life" and discusses the status quo of modern society. Internet, GPS, electronic devices and more, have labeled and virtualized virtually everything, converting 3D spaces back onto 2D planes. This conversion has changed how humans live and behave and how society functions. Today, there's is almost nothing in our lives you cannot convert into data; however, another issue also arises because of it -- The virtual being more real than reality.

The development and application of Conway's Game of Life provide another view for humans to contemplate data. In this film, through the dialogue of the characters, digital organisms use their own language and perspective to convey a surreal story to humans.
