2024    Single Channel 4K Ultra HD Video    14 Minutes 53 Seconds

The work originates from the Nong Pho area in Ratchaburi Province, gathering oral history stories from local residents in an attempt to narrate the modern history of Thailand. The piece is divided into four chapters: "Rivers and Legends," "Death Railway," "Japan," and "Past and Future."

The artist incorporates the traditional local shadow puppet performance known as "Nang Yai," re-drawing the shadow puppet characters and using 3D technology to create animations that are combined with live-action footage, transforming traditional elements. The story begins with the legends of the small town, connecting to local beliefs, the construction of the Thai-Burma Railway, regional conflict, and memories of war. The work concludes with a performance involving local children. In the final scene, a boy rides a train-shaped bicycle down a rural path, illuminated by the setting sun. This transforms the dark history of past wars while also symbolizing hope for the future.
